What you should know about... LalicA
Most famously known under the name “LalicA”, this famous Serbian designer is called Aleksandra Lalic. She relies on structural tailoring and abstract configurations. She is well known in her native country for creating experimental and thought-provoking clothing. Under her the label, the designer has produced her clothing brand since 2002. She represents a continuing trend in European fashion in re-thinking the form, the structure, fabrication and the way it's worn.
LalicA treats fashion as art by implementing her knowledge of the history of art and combining it with her talent for materialization of garment from sketch to realization. She incorporates her interest in the conceptual into everyday clothing. A regular at Belgrade Fashion Week, the designer also takes part in special projects; she created a collection for a fashion show in Vienna in 2012 which took place at the Museum of Applied Arts and also a collection for the Hemofarm Charity Foundation. The best description of all her collections would be that it’s a mixture of intricate cut made into simple garments with interesting quality materials.
Since joining I.DEA PR, LalicA was featured in magazines such as L’Officiel, Schon Magazine, Phoenix Magazine, Vulkan Magazine….
