THE LAUNCH OF FAUX PAX- THE NEWEST MODELLING AGENCY CHAMPIONING DIVERSITY LIKE NO OTHER
This past weekend I.dea PR had the honour to be a part of the exciting launch of the newest and hottest modelling agency, FAUX PAX. What started out as an idea on a napkin, FAUX PAX disrupts the modeling industry by changing the definition of what a model is. Taking diversity to a different level, Co-Owners Faith Guoga and Saint appreciate internal diversity just as much as the external. Rather than models being the face of an aesthetic or brand, FAUX PAX represents models as human beings with stories to tell and unique personalities. Rooted in individualism; age, height and weight restrictions don’t apply, with models representing various demographics.
The diverse range of guests who attended were all main characters, dressed in their own unique personal style which perfectly reflected the vibe of FAUX PAX and successfully set the tone for the future of the agency and what it has to offer. Upcycled hybrid teddies welcomed guests at the entrance of the venue created by Arty, the creator of TeddyLand. A large teddy bear relaxing in a chair holding a bouquet of cute balloons served as the backdrop for the night’s photo ops and outfit photos. Another eye catching display was a mountain of teddies atop an old TV, with a teddy-doll faced hybrid sitting at the top of the pile.
The event began with introductory model videos taken on the shoot day of the first campaign. Guests smiled and laughed along with the models on screen, and it was a great touch to emphasise the values of the agency while getting to know future models to watch. Shortly after the video ended, the first-ever batch of agency models descended the central staircase of the old church venue walking down an M shaped runway with a crowd of guests gathered in the centre, eager to see who was coming next. After the runway finale, the DJs fueled the vibes as guests moved back to the centre of the floor to mingle and dance till the end of the night.
